I know I'm a bit late with my comment, but I've been busy this week with other projects. Some of my thoughts are as follows!

This is my first time watching with the Japanese dub! Everyone's voices are very good, but I feel like this is the very rare occasion where the English dub is better. The only other anime where I hold this opinion is Panty & Stocking, which is known for its fantastic English dub.
My ear caught Marcille using "daisuki" for her saying that Falin is important to her. I know that 'daisuki' can mean 'to like as a friend very much', but also. Hmm much to think about
Rewatching the second episode, I remember that the first time I watched it, it made me dislike Marcille quite a bit! She hadn't yet done anything useful for the party in combat yet, instead needing to be saved by the others. But, for her not being useful, she was the one most consistently complaining. One of her main motivations for her bothersome actions with regards to the Mandrakes being wanting the rest of the team to grovel at her feet and apologize also worsened my opinion of her. Obviously, she's since grown on me majorly, so I can watch this episode with a newfound admiration for her character writing! I appreciate that Ryoko Kui wasn't afraid to give Marcille unlikable traits.
I don't remember if they had Chilchuck react audibly to Marcille saying she was hurt that he said she would be a burden in the English dub (if they did, it must've been a lot quieter), but in this dub, he says, "No, wait," while holding a hand up to his mouth. It's a cute detail!
To be honest, I still have the same opinion that I had the first time watching the Chilchuck and Senshi-centric part of episode 2 -- Senshi was WAY in the wrong in the inciting incident, regardless of what the narrative says about Chilchuck needing to accept help! Which is true, by the way! Chilchuck does need to accept help. But also, Senshi was super out of line, activating those traps. Chilchuck IS the trap expert, so Senshi SHOULD listen to him! Especially when Senshi's only reason for not listening is he just "doesn't like" it. And CHILCHUCK is the one who gets nearly killed with each trap Senshi sets off, so it's not like it's just affecting him! I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be comedic, but I don't really get the joke, in that case? I really like the rest of the plotline (I mean, I ship them together, so I obviously have a bias), but I'm still bitter about that, lol. Feel free to let me know if you disagree and why!
I remember episode 3, the first time watching it, was when I started really getting taken in by the world of Dunmeshi, and it's clear why! The life-or-death stakes of analyzing the large Living Armor, and the reveal of how they work, is so very fun, and is a creative idea for worldbuilding!
I love the way that the tension between orcs and elves is portrayed in episode 5. It feels like both Marcille and Zon have been given their race's side of the story for their whole lives. I also like that neither of them are really portrayed as a 'victim', necessarily? Both are perpetrators. Marcille hears orcs whispering that she has a barbaric face, but she also asks if plundering is the only thing that orcs are able to do. And, of course, it shows that, regardless of background, everyone loves their children, and everyone gets hungry and enjoys a good meal!
