WIP Wednesday

It's WIP Wednesday! If you have any Dungeon Meshi fanworks being made, share a bit of your progress in the comments here! Whether it's a fanart sketch, a fanfic snippet you're particularly proud of, or a graphic you haven't quite nailed the colors of yet, we'd love to see it.

For the sake of not making the comments section multiple miles long, please put your WIP under a cut, and provide a description of what is underneath said cut! (Ships, characters, what type of fanwork, trigger warnings if applicable...) We all have preferences for subjects we'd like to see, and things we'd like to avoid.

Don't be afraid to ask for help, as well! If something isn't quite right about your piece, but you can't quite put your finger on what, getting fresh eyes on it can help narrow the problem down in record time! Just be sure to specify you are looking for help, and what area you need help with. (Example: "I need help with this Falin fanart. Could someone help me make the colors more cohesive?") You can also ask for resources, and anything else you may need help with!

And remember, once your WIP is no longer a WIP, to consider posting it here for the whole community to enjoy!

Dunmeshi Community (Re)watch Party Schedule

Hello! In order to celebrate my official opening of the community, this community will be hosting a (re)watch party! Anyone can join, whether they've seen Dungeon Meshi before or this will be their first time experiencing the series.

Since I'm sure nobody wants to go through the hassle of finding a time that works for every single person, I will be organizing it so that everybody can watch the series at their own pace, within a set timeframe. I will make a post for each "watch session", explaining what we're watching and until what day, and people can share their reactions to the episodes in the comments! Coffee Social Sunday posts will also contain a reminder, and a link to the latest watch party post.

Schedule

I chose to break up the episodes loosely by arc. (Some episodes belong to two arcs, and some arcs are split up, which is why I use 'loosely'.) I then broke these arcs up into weeks. All "sessions" are 1-2 weeks long, begin on a Monday, and end on a Sunday!

January 6 -> January 13 (episodes 1-4, 4 total): Introduction Arc (1), Second Floor Arc (1-3), Third Floor Arc (4)

January 14 -> January 27 (episodes 5-14, 10 total): Fourth Floor Arc (5-10 & 14), Red Dragon Arc (10-13)

January 28 -> February 10 (episodes 15-24, 10 total): Fifth Floor Arc (15-17), Sixth Floor Arc (18-24)

Spoiler Policy

This is not the community's normal spoiler policy, but I am hoping that this event may interest newcomers who haven't had a chance to watch the show yet! So, I will ask that no manga spoilers be posted in the comments of the watch party posts, unless it is under a cut with a warning.

Dungeon Meshi is a Netflix Original, which means, legally speaking, you can watch it all there!
