Date: 2025-01-15 12:55 am (UTC)...I don't know how many acts I give to dungeon meshi, mentally, but the Red Dragon is definitely some kind of transition point. I can imagine some version of the story that just ends there, but pushing past it instead is when dungeon meshi really starts hinting at its ambitions

Date: 2025-01-16 02:21 am (UTC)I definitely consider it the end of the "opening" of the anime! The opening existing is for getting to know the characters, becoming attached to them, and the like. That way, once we get into the swing of things, it hits much harder!

To be honest, Kabru's English voice is such a Key Part of his character to me that I still have not gotten used to his Japanese voice. BUT he is just as much of a delight to watch as always!! I've heard there's a notable distinction to his Japanese dialect that drops when he's being honest in the Japanese version of the manga, lost on English readers. I'd have to look into it again to remember what it is exactly, but I think it's interesting! Also very exciting to see Thistle!!! :>
(I also missed Marcille's English "WOAH HEY!!!" with Falin's shirt rip haha.)
